Ashton Cofer Biography
Ashton Cofer is a 22-year-old inventor and entrepreneur. He started his journey by competing in FIRST robotics in middle school and later won the 2016 Google Science Fair’s Innovator Award for developing an invention to address the problem of Styrofoam waste accumulation in landfills.
Cofer’s passion for science and technology led him to exhibit at the White House Science Fair and deliver a TED talk about perseverance, which received over 55 million views when he was 14. Most recently, he co-founded Fizz, an app that allows college students to connect authentically with each other and discuss campus happenings.
Cofer paused his studies at Stanford University in 2021 to work on Fizz full-time, and the company has now raised over 41 million dollars in funding with usage at over 250 colleges. He was inducted into the Forbes 30 Under 30 list last December.
