As an educator, he has taught English, biology, health, life sciences, and math curricula. Over the years, Alston has received recognition and awards from entities such as the Ohio House of Representatives, which recognized him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens, and the City of Columbus, which declared a Harvey Alston Day.
