British-Canadian television host and designer Hilary Farr has made a name for herself in the home renovation industry. She is best known as the former co-host on the popular HGTV show "Love It or List It", where she shared the spotlight with David Visentin. She is currently the host of "Tough Love with Hilary Farr."
Farr is the president of Hilary Farr's Designs, a company with offices in Toronto and New York City. Her expertise in interior design and her no-nonsense approach have resulted in her creating beautiful yet functional living spaces for her clients.
Before becoming a household name in the design industry, Farr was involved in the film and stage industry. She has had roles in films such as "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975), "City on Fire" (1979), and "The Return" (1980). Farr also showcased her talent on stage in Ross Petty's production of "Sleeping Beauty" at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto in 2016.
She co-founded the "Rules of Renovation," a seminar series for aspiring real estate investors. She has also shared her expertise in furniture buying and holiday decorating through various media outlets, including appearances on "The Marilyn Denis Show" and contributions to the "HuffPost."
