Jeffrey Goldblum is an actor and jazz musician recognized for his wide-ranging roles in film, television, and music. His notable portrayals include Dr. Ian Malcolm in the "Jurassic Park" film series, with appearances in "Jurassic Park" (1993), "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (1997), and "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" (2018). Goldblum's film career includes major box-office successes such as "The Fly" (1986), "Independence Day" (1996), and its sequel "Independence Day: Resurgence" (2016). Goldblum's passion for music led him to a successful jazz career, performing with his band, Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Beyond acting and music, Goldblum has been a prominent voice in several commercial campaigns and has taught acting in North Hollywood. His directorial efforts include the live action short film "Little Surprises," which was nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Short Film, Live Action." Goldblum was also a founding member of the New York theater company, The Fire Dept, established in 2006.
