Jenni and Lisa Dazols Biography
Lisa and Jenni Dazols are social entrepreneurs originally from San Francisco. In 2012, they traveled to 15 countries to interview LGBT leaders around the world to create their documentary film, Out & Around. Their TED talk “This is what LGBT Life is like around the World” has been viewed over 3 million times.
Jenni comes from a 15 year career at eBay where she was named “Hero of the 500s” by Fortune Magazine for her corporate and community contributions. Jenni is a certified financial planner and a member of the National Association of Personal Finance Advisors and the Financial Planning Association. She has a B.A. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University
Lisa comes from a background providing psychotherapy to the LGBT community at UC San Francisco’s HIV clinics. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Califronia and received a B.S. in Psychology from Santa Clara University and a Masters in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley.
In 2020, Jenni and Lisa started the Asia Rainbow Ride, an annual three day charity bike ride in Taiwan benefiting LGBT organizations in Asia. They also have a financial planning business, Modern Family Finance, which serves and aims to uplift the LGBT community through financial empowerment.
They are most proud of being parents to Charlie and Jesse. Their weekends are filled with family bike rides, board games, and pancakes.

As a gay couple in San Francisco, Jenni Chang and Lisa Dazols had a relatively easy time living the way they wanted. But outside the bubble of the Bay Area, what was life like for people still lacking basic rights? They set off on a world tour in search of "Supergays," LGBT people who were doing something extraordinary in the world. In 15 countries across Africa, Asia and South America — from India, recently home to the world's first openly gay prince, to Argentina, the first country in Latin America to grant marriage equality — they found the inspiring stories and the courageous, resilient and proud Supergays they had been looking for.
