Dr. Joseph Coughlin, also called "Dr. Joe," directs the MIT AgeLab research program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Transportation & Logistics. He is a researcher, teacher, advisor, and speaker with a focus on how global demographics, technology, and changing behaviors are reshaping the landscape of business and society. In addition to leading research, Coughlin educates students in MIT's Department of Urban Studies & Planning. He also lends his expertise to major companies across the globe, the World Economic Forum and OECD, and has served on advisory committees for the White House and several federal agencies.
