Melissa Hanna, JD, MBA, is the co-founder and CEO of Mahmee, a comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care coordination platform that improves health outcomes for mothers and babies. The platform, backed by Serena Williams and Mark Cuban, relies on proprietary HIPAA-secure technology. Through this technology, Mahmee's trained maternity support professionals are able to provide cost-effective education and guidance to new families. Hanna, an activist-entrepreneur, earned her Masters of Business Administration from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School. Currently, she extends her knowledge as an adjunct professor of corporate and technology law at Southwestern Law School.
Hanna has garnered significant experience working in operations and strategy at startups across various sectors, including healthcare, education, digital media, and consumer goods. Before co-founding Mahmee, she served as the Assistant Director of the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center at Columbia Business School.
