Nyjah Huston Biography
Nyjah Huston is a professional skateboarder whose achievements include finishing in the top two of the Street Skateboarding World Championships each year from 2010 to 2020, winning multiple gold medals at the SLS Super Crown World Championship from 2014, 2017 to 2019, and securing 15 gold medals at the X Games since 2011. Huston represented the United States in skateboarding at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, where he won a bronze medal in the men's street event. Huston's influence expands to the digital realm with his character's representation in several Tony Hawk video games, including Tony Hawk's "Project 8," Tony Hawk's "Proving Ground," and Tony Hawk's "Pro Skater 1 + 2." He also collaborated with Play'n GO to develop his own branded game, "Nyjah Huston Skate for Gold."
Off the skateboard, Huston's entrepreneurial flair is quite evident. Early in his career, he signed sponsorship deals with key skateboarding brands such as Element Skateboards, Nike SB, and DC Shoes before launching his own skateboard deck company, I&I, in 2009. Despite I&I's closure, Huston's entrepreneurial spirit remained undeterred, leading him to launch Disorder Skateboards in 2021. His philanthropic side is reflected in his co-founding of the charity organization "Let It Flow" with his mother in 2008. The organization focuses on supplying clean water to communities in need.
Huston was featured in the Savage Fenty Show Vol.3 in 2021 and in Disorder Skateboards' "DISRUPTION" Video in 2022. His skateboarding skills are showcased in popular skateboarding videos such as "Elementality" and "Rise and Shine." The latter also won the "Best Video Part" award from Transworld Skateboarding magazine. Currently, Huston continues to compete professionally, maintaining associations with brands like Nike, with which he launched his own shoe line, and MVMT, with which he collaborated on his first watch.
