Poppy Harlow is a New York-based journalist who was a long-time correspondent for CNN before announcing her departure in 2024. She has a reputation for her in-depth reporting on breaking news, features, and investigative stories and for years was notably recognized for her work as an anchor with "CNN This Morning," centered at CNN's New York news bureau. She previously served as the co-anchor of CNN Newsroom weekdays from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Harlow initially joined the CNN team in 2008, making substantial contributions as a business correspondent for CNN, CNN International, and HLN. Before joining CNN, Harlow served as an anchor, reporter, and producer for the Forbes.com Video Network. She also held the position of an anchor and reporter for NY1 News Local Edition. She expanded her education beyond her initial Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern studies from Columbia University, earning a Master of Studies in Law (M.S.L.) degree from Yale Law School. Off the screen, she is married to Sinisa Babcic, with whom she shares two children.
