The event was quite the success. The workshop went well. The students learned much and profited by their contact with Mr. Sagmeister. The students took him to lunch and continued their conversation with him. He gave a terrific talk to a packed house. The students continue to comment positively of what they learned. I, personally, had a wonderful time talking with him on the drive in from the airport and throughout the following day. One of the reasons I sought Sagmeister as a speaker was the brief time I spent with him during an AIGA talk he gave in Charlotte in the mid-2000s. He was gratuitous and generous. I was impressed that someone so renowned could seem so unaffected. He was every bit as gratuitous and generous during his visit to Longwood.
