Stephen Frost Biography
Stephen Frost is a globally recognized expert in diversity, inclusion, and leadership. From 2007 to 2012, he designed, led, and implemented the inclusion programs for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion for the London Organizing Committee (LOCOG). In this capacity, he managed 22 programs that impacted a workforce of 200,000, oversaw a $2 billion procurement budget, and coordinated inclusivity across 134 venues. His team's initiatives included an 11 million ticket program focusing on accessibility and inclusivity, which set new benchmarks in supplier diversity. LOCOG was notably the first organization in the UK to achieve the Diversity Works for London Gold Standard and the Advanced Level of the Equality Standard for Sport.
From 2004 to 2007, Frost established and led the workplace team at Stonewall, Europe's largest LGBT equality organization. Here, he significantly expanded the Diversity Champions program and launched the UK's first lesbian and gay recruitment guide. He also developed the LGBT Leadership Program and introduced the Workplace Equality Index, which has become a reference standard for numerous leading UK and global employers.
Frost began his career in advertising, concentrating on disability and age awareness campaigns, and has worked in consultancy and communications across various countries including the USA, Greece, Tanzania, China, and Brazil. He was a Hertford College Scholar at Oxford and a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard. Frost has been recognized with several awards, including the 2010 Peter Robertson Award for Equality and Diversity Champions. He was named one of the top 100 influential LGBT people in the UK in 2014 and is a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum.
He currently teaches Inclusive Leadership at Harvard Business School and Sciences Po. In addition to his academic roles, he serves as an expert advisor to entities such as the British Government, The White House, and KPMG's Diversity and Inclusion Program. Frost is also the Principal of Frost Included, a consultancy that assists organizations in embedding inclusive leadership into their decision-making processes.
