Valeisha Butterfield-Jones currently serves as the co-president of the Recording Academy and as the co-founder of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN). An award-winning political strategist, author, and executive, Butterfield-Jones formerly served in the Obama Administration as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of Commerce and as the National Youth Vote Director for the Obama for America campaign, contributing to one of the highest youth voter turnouts in American history. Her career began at HBO Sports and spans over two decades with significant impact at the intersections of technology, politics, and entertainment. She has held roles such as the Global Head of Community Inclusion at Google, where she accelerated diversity, equity, and inclusion outcomes for underrepresented communities.
