Emily Deschanel is an acclaimed actress and producer, best known for her role as Dr. Temperance Brennan on the long-running television series "Bones."
Deschanel began her acting career in the mid-1990s with guest roles on various television shows and small parts in films such as "It Could Happen to You" and "Cold Mountain." Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she was cast as the lead in "Bones," a crime procedural series based on the life and writings of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs.
