Victoria Stilwell Biography
Victoria Stilwell is a world-renowned dog trainer best known as the star of the international hit TV series It's Me or the Dog. Having filmed over 110 episodes of "It's Me or the Dog" beginning in 2005, Stilwell is able to reach audiences in over 120 countries with her philosophy of positive training methods. She also served as a judge for "Greatest American Dog" on CBS, as the behavior specialist for "Dogs Might Fly on Sky One," and as the resident dog behavior expert on the One Show on BBC1. Her most recent show, "Dogs With Extraordinary Jobs," airs worldwide including Channel 5 in the UK and the Smithsonian channel in the USA.
Stilwell is the Editor-in-Chief of Positively.com which features a roster of Positively Contributors comprised of the world’s leading veterinary behaviorists, dog trainers and behavioral scientists. She also is the host of the Positively Podcast series. She is the CEO of Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Training (VSPDT) – a global network of world-class positive reinforcement dog trainers. It went splendidly! Victoria had obviously done her homework on the industry and tailored many of her remarks directly to it; she said during her presentation that she even spent a little time in the hotel bar the night before and chatted with some people participating in our conference. And she even challenged the audience a little, which I had encouraged her to do. Overall, it was very entertaining and interesting, and our audience responded well. The room was packed, and she received several really good questions at the end. Our editor who interviewed her after the presentation said she was very nice and easy to interview; then they went to the meet and greet, where Victoria very graciously chatted with people, took photos with them and stayed way longer than the 30 minutes in the contract! Lisa (the editor) was hovering nearby to help Victoria escape if she wanted to, but she seemed to want to keep chatting. So we let her!
