Karyn Buxman Biography
Karyn Buxman is an international speaker, successful author, and neurohumorist, residing at the intersection of the brain and humor. Her pioneering work in applied humor began with her master's thesis in graduate school and has since expanded through collaborations with leading neuroscientists. She is committed to helping leaders—and those they serve—achieve peak performance and optimum health through the art and science of applied humor. Buxman's insights into therapeutic humor are enhanced by her background as a registered nurse and her role as president and founder of HUMORx.
Over her 25-year career, Buxman has worked with more than 500 organizations, including NASA, the Mayo Clinic, and the Million Dollar Round Table, to entertain, educate, and inspire their audiences. She has been inducted into the National Speaker’s Association’s Speaker Hall of Fame, a prestigious honor she shares with only 227 people globally, including 39 women.
