Maya Erskine is a diverse talent within the entertainment industry, holding titles as an actress, singer, activist, and writer. Her acting prowess has been showcased in numerous roles, notably as Maggie in "Man Seeking Woman," Mikki in "Betas," and Mizu in "Blue Eye Samurai." From 2019 to 2021, Erskine starred in Hulu's original TV comedy series "PEN15," for which she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. Additionally, she started portraying Jane Smith in the Prime Video series "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2024, earning a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Erskine's education at New York University Tisch School of the Arts has undoubtedly contributed to her refined skills. Her experience extends to the stage as well, having performed with well-known Los Angeles-based theater groups such as the East West Players and the Geffen Playhouse. In 2019, she added another credit to her growing list by appearing in Amy Poehler's directorial debut, "Wine Country." She also took part in the film "Sacramento," which concluded production in 2023.
In 2024, Erskine was recognized by Gold House as the A100 Honoree. Outside of her professional life, Erskine is engaged to actor Michael Angarano, and they are parents to two children.
