Rogers’ most innovative strategic thinking is embodied in her book "Return On Customer," which documents the customer base as a revenue-producing asset for businesses, capable of driving a company's long-term economic worth. The book has climbed into the top 20 business books on Amazon, was a top ten business bestseller for 2005 with 800CEORead.com, and Fast Company named the book one of the “15 most important reads” of the year. Her latest book, co-authored with business partner Don Peppers, is "Extreme Trust: Turning Proactive Honesty and Flawless Execution into Long-Term Profits," which focuses on the importance of transparency and trust in modern business practices.
Rogers is a founding partner of Peppers & Rogers Group. She also founded Trustability Metrix in 2015, a firm that assesses how companies are trusted by customers, employees, and business peers. An Adjunct Professor at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, she is the co-director of the Duke Center for Customer Relationship Management. She is widely published in academic and trade journals, including Harvard Business Review and Journal of Advertising Research. Rogers has been named International Sales and Marketing Executives' Educator of the Year and, along with Don Peppers, was listed by Satmetrix in 2015 as #1 on their list of the top 25 most influential customer experience leaders.
Rogers began her professional career as a copywriter and advertising executive, and earned her PhD at the University of Tennessee as a Bickel fellow. At Peppers & Rogers Group, she has led several large subscription-based research studies focusing on particular aspects of CRM. She serves on the Board of Directors for ClickSquared and is involved in workshops and keynote presentations on topics such as digital disruption, proactive customer strategy, and the importance of trust in business.
