Todd Whitthorne is a motivational health & wellness speaker and author of the book "Fit Happens." A nationally-recognized authority on health and wellness, Whitthorne speaks to individuals and corporations about the keys to achieving and maintaining excellent health and topics such as healthy aging, fitness, and corporate wellness. Whitthorne is an award-winning broadcaster and was the executive producer and host of "Healthy Living with Dr. Ken Cooper," a nationally syndicated weekly radio program. He currently serves as the president of ACAP Health Consulting, where he focuses on product development, marketing, sales, and client consulting in health and corporate wellness. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer of Cooper Concepts, Inc., a division of Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas. Whitthorne is also the chairman of the Our Kids' Health Foundation, which concentrates on reducing physical inactivity and obesity among children in Texas.
An avid outdoors enthusiast, Whitthorne has completed multiple marathons, half-marathons, and sprint triathlons. He is a regular host for the "Dallas Marathon" and the "Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot" since 2005. In addition to being a marathon runner, cyclist, triathlete, and hiker (he summitted Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2013), Whitthorne maintains an active membership in the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion (IAWHP). He also serves as a volunteer board member of Treasure Street, the signature event of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Whitthorne values continuing education in his field, holding a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology from UCLA.
